Over the past 30 years NLP has become the leading edge methodology in effective communication in professional and personal development, business, in education and coaching. NLP is an is an innovative set of tools and techniques that facilitate change and as such is an incredibly powerful discipline that enables people to release their personal excellence.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP for short, has been called the study of excellence and identifies how to model and develop excellence. More specifically, we all have both conscious and unconscious mental maps of life. Maps are created by our experiences and the meaning we give to those experiences. Further, we enrich our maps with our ability to elaborate on those experiences with our imagination.
In today’s world, you really cannot expect to succeed without the experiential knowledge of how your thoughts impact your experience and how your communication impacts your outcomes.
NLP explores the relationships between how you think, how you express your thoughts and feelings and your patterns of behavior. By identifying and learning these relationships a student of NLP can effectively transform the way they think and act, adopting new, far more successful ways of engaging and dealing more effectively in every aspect of life.
We call this ‘modeling excellence’ and it’s a key feature that distinguishes NLP from other personal and professional development systems. NLP – The Leading Edge in Effective Communication
NLP has proven itself in the fields of business, education, psychotherapy, personal and professional trainings of all kinds. In fact it has become the leading edge in effective communication and change technology available today.
Most sales, personal development, communication and business trainings have incorporated some aspects of NLP. Why?… Because it has the ability to get direct access to how our life experiences are stored at deep levels of our mind and how to shift them, to re-assemble the connections and create new possibilities.
With NLP you gain the skills to discover, understand and evolve our own and others’ decision-making, communicating, motivating and learning – ethically and naturally. NLP training is about learning how to manage the way you think to achieve optimum results through gaining more choices and multiple perspectives.
Generally, throughout our education, we are rarely well trained in how to be aware of and choose our internal states, our emotions, or how to focus awareness and consciously create new behaviors. If you did, you would have only positive habits.
With NLP, as you become more aware and skilled, you can grasp what is taking place at many levels, simultaneously; in fact you can evaluate your own beliefs and change your thinking and your emotions.
Personal and Professional Development
You could think of it as extremely effective awareness training; one that makes the concept of choice really come alive. That’s why NLP is one of the most respected tools used in all forms of personal and professional development.
With the knowledge and application of specific NLP skills, you will better understand what you need to do to communicate and inspire others and to better understand and appreciate your point of view. You’ll develop a new focus on the underlying strategy of communication rather than simply on basic communication skills.
Leaders, managers, educators, and business people all understand the power of communicating clearly and intentionally. Because they know you cannot separate the message from the messenger, the most important skill for anyone to master is the ability to communicate effectively.
Influencing others begins with shifting your orientation from yourself to another’s point of view so you can discover how they think and recognize what is most important to them in any particular situation.
The most influential communicators never make the mistake of ‘promoting’ ideas before addressing what is relevant to the other person in the situation. In fact, the skill of eliciting what’s important to another is only a first step. What is equally critical is an understanding of what that specifically means to them within their experience.
NLP helps you to develop the skills of how to ethically communicate in a manner that enables others to want to listen to your ideas so that your outcomes can achieve a finely tuned level of effectiveness with positive results.
